Prevent DNS Leaks on Windows 8 and 10
If you are not using IPBurger Extension for browsers, you must configure your PC to prevent DNS leaks so as to properly use IPBurger VPN services. Otherwise, your real IP Address might be leaked.
For using VPN Software/Protocols such as SoftEther, L2TP, or OpenVPN on Windows 8/10, you must prevent DNS leaks.
Configure Windows 8/10 to prevent DNS leaks
1. Open theĀ Group Policy Editor.Ā Press the ā° (windows)Ā key + R. TypeĀ gpedit.mscĀ and clickĀ OK.Ā


2. Find yourĀ policy.Ā InsideĀ Group Policy Editor, go toĀ Administrative TemplatesĀ >Ā NetworkĀ >Ā DNSClient.Ā Afterwards, right-click on theĀ Turn off smart multi-homed name resolutionĀ option.


3. Click onĀ Edit. Select theĀ EnabledĀ radio button and clickĀ OK.


4.Ā Restart your PC forĀ the changes to take effect.
